FROM 1 APRIL 2012, THE ANCIENT RUINS OF VILLA JOVIS ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC WITH THE FOLLOWING HOURS:
FROM APRIL 1 TO 15 APRIL - WEDNESDAY FROM 'THE MONDAY - FROM 11.00 to 15.00. WITH CLOSING DAY TUESDAY,
FROM 16 APRIL TO 30 APRIL - MONDAY'TO SATURDAY - FROM 11:00 TO 15:00 WITH CLOSING DAY SUNDAY- Villa Jovis and Villa Damecuta
DUE TO MAINTENANCE AND RESTORATION WORK, FROM 20th JANUARY TO 31st MARCH 2012, THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXCAVATIONS OF VILLA JOVIS AND VILLA DAMECUTA WILL BE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC.
- Overnight stay tax from the 1st of January 2012
Starting from the 1st of January 2012, the Municipalities of Capri and Anacapri have established the overnight stay tax.
The tax is applied to the overnight stays of non-residents in any accommodation facility within the territory of the Municipality of Capri and Anacapri
for a maximum of 5 consecutive nights.Details of Fee:
5-Star Hotels - Luxury: 5 Euros per person per night
4-Star Hotels: 4 Euros per person per night
3, 2, 1-Star Hotels: 3 Euros per person per night
Tourist/residential Units: 3 Euros per person per night
Furnished Rooms: 2 Euros per person per night
Houses for Holidays: 2 Euros per person per night
Holiday Farmhouses: 2 Euros per person per night
B&B: 2 Euros per person per night
Further Accommodation Facilities: 2 Euros per person per night
The following are exempt from the tax:
- minors up to ten years of age.
