Ordinance of the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport

From March 17th 2008 to October 31st 2008 and from December 20th 2008 to January 7th 2009 is forbidden the circulation on the island of Capri, of the private autos for the non resident persons.

In this period are garanteed permissions to the followings vehicles: - ambulances; - autos that transport invalid; - autos of foreign people, conducted from the owner or from a component of the family of the owner himself, providing be residents of foreign countries or autos rented near the aeroports by foreign tourists.

Other regulations

Use of wooden clogs: Within the entire borough of Capri, excluding the beaches and the bathing facilities, the use of wooden clogs is forbidden (regulation issued by the Council of Capri on July 19th 1960).
Radios and record players: In all the open-air spaces (roads, squares, beaches, etc.) within the Borough of Capri, the use of radios, record players and juke boxes is strictly forbidden (regulation issued by the Council of Capri on August 2nd 1963).
Camp, mount tents or use sleeping bags: It is prohibited to camp, mount tents or use sleeping bags within the entire Borough of Capri (regulation issued by the Council of Capri on June 7th 1982).
Circulation with a bathing costume: It is prohibited to circulate within the borough of Capri, and in particular when using any form of public transport, with a bare torso or wearing just a bathing costume (regulation issued by the Council of Capri on August 9th 1988).
