A Horrible and Dangerous Experience with BlueSideCapri – Stay Away! On August 12th, my family and I contacted Valeria, the owner of BlueSideCapri, after being referred by the owner of our Airbnb. It was a last-minute plan, and Valeria was extremely attentive and convincing — she introduced herself as a female boat skipper, which made us feel comfortable since I was the only man among my family members. 1. We arrived on time and met her, but that’s when our nightmare began. Before anything else, she asked for payment — even though it was supposed to be by card, she requested part in cash. I agreed and paid €170 in cash and €230 by bank transfer. 2. In the middle of our 4-hour tour, the boat started smelling like burning gasoline and producing heavy smoke. Luckily, my wife noticed it and warned the skipper immediately. She turned off the engine, but the smoke got even worse — we were terrified and had to jump into the water to escape. It was total panic: my wife, sister-in-law, and mother-in-law were crying in fear. 3. With no cell signal and no radio equipment on board, I had to swim to another boat to ask for help. Thankfully, those people helped and towed us to the nearest beach club. After that disaster, I spoke with Valeria by phone. Despite everything, I tried to be fair and offered to accept a 50% refund, which she agreed to. But then she started making excuses, claiming she hadn’t received the payment — even though the money had clearly left my account. Days later, she admitted she received it and promised to send the refund. It’s now been three months, and I haven’t received a single cent. Valeria completely stopped replying to my messages. This experience ruined one of our vacation days and left us shaken. I’m writing this review to warn others: There are many honest companies in Capri, but BlueSideCapri is not one of them. Valeria, the owner, is dishonest and irresponsible — please, do not risk your safety or your money with her.

The high point of my wife and our grown up daughter’s visit to beautiful Capri was our boat trip around the island. Valeria is a skilful skipper able to manoeuvre her traditional fishing boat “L’intrepida” with precision. She is knowledgeable about what is to be seen and has a pleasant, easy and thoughtful manner. We highly recommend her.
