The positives of the Hotel Canasta are that it is in a very good location, near the main piazza and shopping streets, and that the staff were efficient and helpful when replying to emails and organising for our luggage to be collected and delivered to the port (at a cost) - however a smile from the man at reception would have gone a long way! I am afraid that is where it ends. The hotel is very tired. The double bed very short. There was nothing deluxe about our room and the terrace had chipped tiles on the floor. The breakfast was extremely simple and was served in a depressing unlit area or you could take it outside. The pool was nice to cool off in and the beds around it comfortable. Euros 960 for two nights was a joke! We won't be going back. Sorry!

A point of reference for my stays in Capri

For years I have been frequenting this very well-kept hotel with beautiful rooms. It also has a small swimming pool. It pains me to know that with the new management it will perhaps be absorbed with renovation projects in the building next door and it will no longer be as I know it. I hope to be able to return to frequent it anyway.

It is not a four-star hotel!

A stay that fell short of expectations. Spacious room but full of mosquitoes. The pool is nice and the location is good, but for the same price there is much better. The breakfast is like a B&B: two caprese cakes, a few empty croissants, some fruit, and some cold cuts. No consideration for celiacs, despite the express request to have something: only muesli and shattered rusks. Oh.. not even a vanity kit or a shower cap available. I will not return.

The forgotten room

The room was a disaster! We had no space for our wardrobe and suitcases. The furniture was dilapidated, there were no power outlets, and the bed was not 2 meters long! In the bathroom, there was no storage space for our toiletries. Ancient, loud toilet flush that you could also hear from the other rooms! We had been warned beforehand that the room would not have a view, but the small terrace was not a problem. With a plant in the courtyard, it would have even been quite nice. The hotel was bought this year by the owners of the neighboring hotel and already had a very nice new pool area with new lounge chairs. The breakfast was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful!!!!
