Capri Kosher

Imagine. A kosher restaurant in Capri. Talk about heaven on earth. Except it wasn't. We booked a reservation for eight for Friday night and for Saturday lunch. Pre-paid everything. When we went to the dinner buffet, the meatballs and roast were gone. We asked in the kitchen about the food. They said, "We will bring it right to your table." The food we received was frozen. Literally had ice chips inside the meatballs. They never gave us the wine we ordered nor the sodas (both of which had been paid for in advance). The response from the waitress was, "There are no managers here. There is nothing I can do about it." My six guests were so upset they decided not to come back the next day so our table of eight became a table of two. I wrote a letter of complaint and was informed (prior to writing this review) that because I did not make my complaint "within three days," they were unable to offer a refund. In summary: The food was cold, the beverages were never served, there was no meat and we spent well over 2,500 EU simply for a salad bar. Capri is lovely and beautiful My suggestion if you want to enjoy a nice visit? Bring your food with and make a picnic. While I greatly admire the efforts of this restaurant to bring kosher food to Italy, there are far better choices in Venice and Rome (think Ba Ghetto and Gam Gam) which knock it out of the park every time. We felt robbed and have yet to recieve even an apology from the owner - who failed to identify himself in any of our communication. Quite honestly, you can do so much better. Don't let this restaurant ruin your trip to Capri.

Great food, service and dining! Thanks to Keto for his exceptional service. we had the best time and would definitely come back next time we're in Capri.

Very grateful to have this place open on the island. Tito was extremely kind. If you go you must try the falafel - best I've ever tried!
