Word of mouth

Within weeks of opening, back in the distant 1948, Da Giorgio had already gained a widespread reputation for its excellent food.

Many decades later, Da Giorgio's chefs continue to create traditional island cuisine, prepared with the freshest of locally sourced ingredients and bursting with the authentic taste and aromas of the Mediterranean. The wine cellar holds over 500 labels selected by Giorgio, with particular attention to wines from Campania.

Can't decide what to eat? Try one of Da Giorgio's signature dishes: homemade ravioli capresi, spaghetti alle vongole, spaghetti alla Giorgio, insalata caprese and fried fish. The wood-fired oven pizza is excellent too.

A Retreat in the Heart of Capri

Da Giorgio is also a lovely little hotel, in the same building as the restaurant, just steps from taxis, buses and the bars of the Piazzetta. It has been run by the Desiderio family for generations.
