A confirmation. Despite differing opinions, they hit the mark this year. Try the grilled seafood salad... Surprising... And octopus and potatoes... Congratulations

With one of the most beautiful views in Capri, this is just one reason to come! With quality raw materials, typical cuisine with some hints of experimentation, excellent wine list (though not very extensive) with more affordable prices for wine than other restaurants of the same level, friendly and punctual service and even free shuttle, we highly recommend it! Of course, expect a “caprese” price, but if you are in the wonderful Capri, you decided in advance!
Classic tourist scam with fish weight

The food was ok, nothing special really. Raw potatoes, bland, overpriced fish, staff with minimal English language skills. We ordered two fish dishes, the other one being the catch of the day. My husband asked for the price and the weight per dish for the red snapper. The waiter said approx. 120 eur/kg and 70 grams per dish. Never did the waiter say that they were talking about a whole fish, nor did 70 grams imply to that, either. When we got the dishes, the waiter brought the whole fish and made two plates out of it. I myself, had ordered my own dish, as it was never clear that the waiter couldn't make a difference between the English numbers 70 and 700. After getting the whole fish to the table, my husband asked about the weight per dish. Mind me, he only ordered one dish. The waiter still insisted 70 grams. At that point, we thought we'd end up paying for 2 x 70 gram dishes... Of course, at this point, we were aware that it couldn't be right, as there was more fish at the table than two people could eat. When we got the check (after asking for it three times), the weight of the fish was 800 grams in total. Not 70, not 700. The explanation was that the other waiter doesn't know English that well. After double checking the weight per dish, the waiter kept saying 70. They reduced 100 grams from the check, so we ended up paying for 700 grams even though we were told several times that the weight is 70 grams. Is it the customer's fault that the waiter serves you in English (we're not natives, either) and accidentally gives you inaccurate info when they don't know the numbers in English or was this just the classic tourist scam?
