The delicious traditional cuisine of Capri and the convivial atmosphere created by Antonio and Aurelia De Angelis and their children Francesco and Renata: ingredients which guarantee Restaurant La Capannina's lasting success.

Situated a mere 100 meters from the famous Piazzetta of Capri, since 1931 La Capannina has been the preferred dining venue of the rich and famous, attracting a glamorous clientele including Jackie and Aristotele Onassis, Marcello Mastroianni, Christian De Sica, Julia Roberts, Dustin Hoffman, Zucchero Fornaciari, Uma Thurman, Silvester Stallone, Michael Douglas and Katherine Zeta Jones, all of whose photos adorn both the menus and the dining room walls.

La Capannina's menu features a tempting selection of local specialities, including linguine with redfish, ravioli alla caprese, seafood scialatelli, prawn and chickpea puree, stuffed calamari, and fresh fish, which varies according to the catch of the day. The ravioli alla caprese are prepared by Giada De Laurentiis in La Capannina's kitchen and presented on her Food Network in the United States.

The choice of wines is an impressive one, the restaurant's wine list containing some 400 Italian and International labels, also available for purchase in the nearby delicatessan, La Capannina Più Gourmet. The shop, opened over twenty years ago, stocks a vast selection of wines, spirits and gastronomic specialities, and luxury gift items for both the home and boat. La Capannina Più offers a worldwide shipping service and, on request, delivers purchases to clients' hotels and boats.

Located right next to the restaurant, La Capannina Bar is open from 19.30 onwards, and provides the ideal evening venue where to enjoy a glass of wine or one of the bar's excellent cocktails, accompanied by tasty sweet and savoury nibbles, all still being served long after midnight. The interiors of the bar recreate the atmosphere of a traditional Villa of Capri, with walls adorned with period prints and floors paved in majolica and terracotta. Both restaurant and bar have an open air area for those wishing to smoke.

Una bella serata allietata da un intermezzo festoso con tamburelli e canti a metà cena, davvero allietante. Cibo molto buono, frittura con pesce fresco…. Ma soprattutto personale davvero gentile, educato , professionale. Avremmo voluto conoscere il proprietario, un gran signore che si aggira tra i tavoli all’età di 87 anni in grande forma ed eleganza. Con ammirazione lo salutiamo da qui.

Situé au cœur de Capri, ce restaurant est tout simplement magique. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis par le propriétaire lui-même, âgé de 83 ans, qui a pris le temps de nous expliquer les plats… en français ! Un moment à la fois chaleureux et authentique, qui donne le ton de toute l’expérience. Les mets sont d’une qualité exceptionnelle, savoureux, fins et préparés avec passion. Le service est irréprochable, professionnel et discret. Certes, les prix sont élevés, mais nous sommes à Capri et dans un établissement de renom, où chaque détail est soigné. La carte des vins est superbe, et en fin de repas, le limoncello nous a été offert, une délicate attention qui conclut merveilleusement cette belle soirée. Encore bravo, Monsieur, pour ce restaurant unique en son genre. J’y retournerai sans hésitation

Indubbiamente uno dei migliori ristorante in cui poter cenare a Capri… ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, personale gentile, nell’atmosfera… abbiamo provato le gli spaghetti con le vongole e gli scialatielli ai frutti di mare… tutto davvero buono… consiglio di provare anche i dolci…

Gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis auf Capri

Das La Capannina liegt kaum 100m von der Piazetta entfernt in der Via Le Botteghe. Es ist unserer Erfahrung nach ein Restaurant mit für Capri sehr gutem Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Das wissen viele andere auch, man sollte also unbedingt reservieren. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, aber nicht aufdringlich und behält auch im vollen Lokal den Überblick. Der Patrone überwacht sein Reich auch mit über 80 Jahren noch selbst. Die Speisen sind frisch zubereitet und sehr schmackhaft (vom Verdure alla griglia und Carciofini crudi con Gamberetti über die unvermeidlichen Ravioli alla Caprese bis zu Filetto ai due pepi und Entrecote con funghi Porcini), der empfohlene Wein passte auch sehr gut. Wir können das Restaurant guten Gewissens empfehlen.
