Avoid . This is a tourist trap restaurant that should be out of business. You are lured in thinking it's a decent old Italian family restaurant, it's not. You will be taken for way more than you expected and I'm quite well travelled. It got me . It's 2€ each just to sit down and they add 10% as well to the bill. I questioned this and was shouted at aggressively whilst he pointed at small print on back of a menu. 2 big brothers seem to run it , one lures you in the other sits there behind a computer. Food very average, constant up selling. Go elsewhere.

What seems to be a reasonable restaurant turned into a very expensive dining experience as the owner added 60 euros to our bill when we paid by card. His explanation was that he had to pay for taxes. The food is ok, but the price list in the menu cannot be trusted and you can eat in a fancy restaurant for same price. Please don’t eat in this restaurant and support this kind of business practices.

While looking for a quick bite in the hidden streets of Capri we found this little “hole in the wall” restaurant where Salvatore, the owner, greeted us with great candid Italian enthusiasm. Somehow, talking to the down to earth, no non-sense, no pretense or pretend kind of guy, made us trust him and decided to try his food and service. Well, talk about a big surprise, in no time we had our waiter show up with everything we asked, bread, bottled water, wine, glasses and menus. Off course “il piatto del giorno” was the wise selection here so, also in no time we had our fresh dishes prepared and delivered, all in no hassles, no rush and relax, just as Salvatore’s sign reads: “Dolce Vita”. The ambiance here is nice, away from the crowds or traffic. Food was great and inexpensive, plus the service also very good. On our multiple trips to Capri, never had the chance to find this place before, and that is a shame, for it is very much worth your time.

DO NOT EAT HERE. We wanted to eat someone in Capri away from all the tourists. Little did we know we fell into an alleyway restaurant that was a tourist trap. RUN AWAY DON'T eat here. We were charged 10% COVER CHARGE PER PERSON which ended up being 3 euros per person because we ordered only lunch. then 2 euros for a "service charge" BS and water was 4 euros. I questioned the owner what The "service charge" was and he was so DISMISSIVE and RUDE. I was so upset by this experience and the food taste like crap. So instead of me continuing to be upset I hope others will not experience what we did. Please go elsewhere!!
