La Giara

A nice, relaxing spot amongst a shopping street. Limoncello Spritz was delicious and refreshing in the heat, as was the gelato. Indoor and outdoor seating. Would recommend!

We had lunch in this restaurant during a visit to the island. We were disappointed, not only us, but the whole group (consisting of 37 people): first we had fisherman rice, shampoo, tasteless, without any flavor. While we were eating rice, the waiters in the same dish poured us penne with tomato puree, also without any flavor. For second course we were served a fry of squid, which were actually squid (easily recognizable by the fact that they were chewy, and were not even fresh and crispy, as a real fish fry should be). The staff were not always up to their task, on more than one occasion the waiters were rude to us, despite we regularly paid.

We loved our lunch and experience with this family run restaurant. Food is fresh and delicious, the ravioli was cooked perfectly, the fish was fresh and cooked perfectly, the house wine was just an added compliment to the lunch, finished off with juicy stawberies. The staff are so polite and efficient, food is excellent, the serivice was amazing considering it was very busy. Loved the ambience and cleanliness of this lovely place.
