La Palette

We liked it, also because from there you can enjoy an exceptional view. High quality food. Traditional cuisine and Mediterranean flavors. We had a great time. It was an excellent choice. Elegant and welcoming décor and setting, attentive service. It is certainly not unexpensive, but it is really worth it. It was an excellent nice dining experience.

I was looking forward to this restaurant based on the reviews here. Unfortunately neither the service nor the food were as good for us as others experienced. When we arrived, there were only a few tables occupied and several open at the edge (as in the picture). We were told those were only for people paying $100 or more per person for dinner. So we said we’d take a different table, and were offered a table for 2 with a chair pulled up for our 3rd person (there were probably 15 open tables at the restaurant, including many that would comfortably accommodate 3). Thankfully, someone else intervened and we were given a properly sized table, but it was not a good start to the evening. Our food was fine, but not spectacular. We had the tomatoes and mozzarella, which should have been perfect (tomatoes here are so amazing) but included some under-ripe ones as well. Eggplant Parmesan was okay, as was the fish of the day and the pasta dish we ordered. Not bad but not memorable. The setting is beautiful (even if you are not along the edge, the views and sun setting is very nice).

We ate really well. The restaurant is interesting for its location, panoramic view, and excellent cuisine. It was a truly delicious dinner, and the staff was very kind and not intrusive at all. Fair prices considering the place.
