La Pigna

We were a school group of 31 brought here for lunch by our guide. The price was 22 euros pp for which we got a drink, some bread, two pasta dishes (penne and ravioli) served on one plate and one scoop of ice cream. The pasta was fairly tasty and served quite generously. The staff were friendly, the service was good and the view from the restaurant is absolutely lovely. This was the only place we ate on Capri, so I can't tell if the cost was good value or not; it felt a bit high but maybe that's just the location. (I also didn't realise the restaurant's history beforehand, maybe that affects the price a bit).

This restaurant actually surprised me and my expectations. It was a nice open-air restaurant and the decor was lovely. It was blistering hot when I was in Capri but the open air and fans tried their best. We had limited amount of wine but the bottles were so big it might as well have been unlimited. I was most surprised by the food. The cannelloni was absolutely delicious and everyone’s favourite. I had to laugh at the chicken Parmesan. When I had done a food tour in Rome a couple weeks earlier they mentioned that Italy doesn’t do chicken Parmesan unless it’s for tourists.
