Unusually free at 8:30 PM on August 8th, we sit down. We ask for a sparkling wine and it is served without an ice bucket - but only to us - after just one shared appetizer we ask to order more and the waiter: do you still want to eat? Well yes. Puff pastry pizza and garlic in Capri. Capri prices.

My wife and I were persuaded to take today's fish. The waiter shows off two fish. I then ask how much it costs. The waiter for two people will be 28 Euro. After 30 minutes, a pasta comes served with some fish. I point out that there cannot be half the fish on every plate. The waiter and owner claim that it is so and come with hulls from fish and set on the table. The fish is not split up at the table, which becomes clear that the restaurant tries to hide how they have handled the dish. Don't go there!!!!!!

We particularly appreciated the excellent almond-crusted shrimp, accompanied by three different sauces, each capable of enhancing its flavor with balance and personality. The tuna cake was also excellent, delicate and perfectly executed. We then ordered two seafood pasta dishes that deserve special mention: so tasty and well-made that we devoured them without even remembering to photograph them, which rarely happens to us. Materita is a restaurant that demonstrates how quality cuisine, impeccable service, and authentic hospitality can transform a simple dinner into a memorable experience. Excellent service especially with two of our party requiring gluten free. We had gluten free pasta, a mixed salad, and a dessert. Everything was very good.
