A particular restaurant on Capri.

It is a particular place: casual and characteristic as it is a fishmonger restaurant in the center of Capri. Excellent dishes, fresh fish and well cooked. Neapolitan seafood cuisine. Service a bit spartan. Prices correspond to Service.
The perfect place

Fresh fish and excellent quality, we were recommended as a dish of the day of the monkfish paccheri and spectacular cherry tomatoes, grilled tuna fillet as catch of the day exceptional. Great to try if you go to capri. Great value for money.
TO AVOID. BAD QUALITY AND ARROGANCE

We stopped for a takeout dinner. Frying squid not bad, but almost ridiculously sized for the price (28 euros for a calmro, perhaps). In the first course, scialatielli with mussels and river chilli, the mussels had escaped and the few remaining were absolutely tasteless. The worst part is their trio of tartares. Poor quality fish, bordering on edible. On the menu the tartare consists of salmon, tuna and amberjack. The salmon was tasteless, we didn’t even finish it. The amberjack of slightly better quality, but still not up to scratch. The worst thing was the replacement of tuna with a torchfish, without even being told of this replacement. And the latter had a bad smell and taste.
We returned to show our disappointment calmly and received smiles of mockery and rudeness in return.
It is the classic trap for Capri tourists, those who know how to eat fish stay far away from it both for prices and quality.
Fishmonger and tavern only sea

Passing through that street I was curious about a fishmonger that becomes a tavern. Said done last night September 19 I sat by them at 8 pm, subject to reservation requested two days before.
The warm Welcoming but at the same time professional.
The place is small. I think it seats 15. The seats are comfortable and the room furnished in that way exudes genuineness.
I had an appetizer with anchovies, fresella and beans and then a dish with cod.
All accompanied by a chalice of lachrima Christi.
It is a cuisine in my opinion tasty and well-kept. You can see that they tried and tried again to put on the menu some innovative dishes, yes, but always respecting our Ischian / Neapolitan cuisine.
I found everything exceptional and was happy with my choice.
Starting as they do from fresh and excellent products, the dishes start with an extra gear immediately.
The rest was done by the Wisdom of the cook.
I propose to return to taste other dishes that I thought worthy.
The tavern offers a varied and appetizing menu that puts the customer in difficulty in the command.
Next time I want to meet the chef who I think has an excellent experience.
The two nice waiters who put customers at ease without being obsessive.
Congratulations to all the staff.
Local highly recommended. I repeat: innovative but that preserves our marine soul.
If you go there, metaphorically you will send me blessings.
