Le Corbusier's dream hotel overlooking the Faraglioni

  1. Stay in a hotel designed by the architect Le Corbusier
  2. Romance and an incomparable view of the Faraglioni
  3. A splash in the heated, jetted swimming pool

From the stunning terraces and balconies of Capri's Hotel Punta Tragara, guests are treated to one of the most breathtaking and unforgettable views on the Island of Capri: the dramatic Faraglioni sea stacks which rise directly from the turquoise waves of the Mediterranean and the romantic Marina Piccola bay. This elegant 5 star luxury hotel, based on designs by the celebrated architect, Le Corbusier, is perched on the cliffs of the Tragara scenic overlook on one of the most panoramic and peaceful spots of the whole of Capri.

A View to Last a Lifetime

The rooms and suites of Hotel Punta Tragara are strike a perfect balance between the classic and modern, and are particularly lovely given the particular attention to detail and impeccable care. The decor echoes that of a traditional island villa, with the added elegance of contemporary architectural details. The most sumptuous suites, including the Monacone and the prestigious Penthouse boast gorgeous views over the Faraglioni and the Castiglione hills.

The flavors and aromas for which the Mediterranean cuisine is famous take center stage in the hotel's "Monzu" Restaurant, a understated yet welcoming venue in the Punta Tragara where guests can dine in the internal dining room or, during the summer, on the scenic veranda by candlelight.

Dinner Under the Stars

Guests of the Punta Tragara can also dine at the Ristorante da Mammà just steps from the Piazzetta and owned by the hotel. The restaurant, with chefs Gennaro Esposito and Salvatore La Ragione at the helm, was awarded its first Michelin star in 2015.

The Bar "Bussola" is, instead, the ideal spot to sip a refreshing cocktail by the pool or an aperitif by sunset. The hotel also has a second heated and jetted pool available for guests.

For guests of the Hotel Punta Tragara who want to both explore the island and recharge body and mind, the hotel offers a modern spa which can indulge travellers with massage therapy and face and body treatments, a fitness center with Technogym weight and cardio machines, and a thalassotherapy pool with therapeutic salt from the Dead Sea dissolved in the water.

iloved this hotel.. it was at the top of the island.. the place was recently redone and just opening for the season so there were some bumps in the service.. the rooms were comfortable and well appointed.. the staff was well intentioned but not really well seasoned.. i suspect this is because we came close to opening day.. i will definitely go back as i liked the intimate feel to the hotel.. i also like that it was not the most trendy resort.. almost like a hidden gem

The hotel is a beautifully maintained hotel which has all the in room amenities I could want bar perhaps hair straighteners which you rarely expect. There is a box of bathroom accessories, fully stocked mini bar which is refreshed in the evenings and a walk in wardrobe space. The hotel is very clean and nothing is shabby. The main thing about this hotel that makes it worth the price tag is the view. The views from the rooms with balconies facing the sea are perfection. You could sit and stare at the view all day. We had 4 balconies to our room and all were gorgeous! The staff were very helpful again as you would expect from a 5 star hotel in Capri. They were great at arranging bags to and from the ferry and it’s a very well organised arrangement. I would say if feel like the food in Capri for the standard is a little more expensive and not as fantastic as elsewhere in Italy, personally speaking. The spa was nice but for £200 for a massage for one hour I have had better and at much better value.

I loved the view, the swimming, the food and the staff. The front desk arranged an amazing boat charter for us for the day and the experience was incredible. The hotel is private, clean and elegant. We did have an issue with bees when we dined outside but it didn’t take away from the incredible pasta dish only found in Capri.

It's a shame about the view offered by nature

Dear all, I am writing to share my experience during my stay at your hotel in June 2024, where I had booked a Master Deluxe Sea View room. Unfortunately, from the moment I arrived, I encountered several issues that greatly impacted my stay. First, the hotel staff was extremely impolite. Initially, I was given a dark and uninviting room, which felt like a cave. I had to request a room change to receive accommodations that matched the price I had paid. However, even in the second room, the cleanliness was below expectations. I even had to ask for the floor to be cleaned, as dust was visibly present. On the second evening, I requested a taxi from the reception staff. After spending 10 minutes providing the location details, I was told that no cars were available and that I should find my own transportation. This level of service was highly disappointing. Another situation that I have never encountered anywhere else in the world: during breakfast, we sat at a table, and an employee came over to tell us that the table was reserved. We had not been informed that a reservation was required for breakfast. When we explained this to her, she laughed in our faces and walked away. Moreover, the hotel itself feels outdated, and the overall service does not meet the expected standards. I did not feel welcomed throughout my stay. Given the price paid, I expected a much higher level of hospitality and service, but unfortunately, it was not delivered. It’s a shame to have your vacation ruined.
