Among all the gastronomic experiences lived on this trip through Tuscany, the Amalfi Coast, and Rome, the gelato at Buonocuore in Capri was one of the most beautiful and unforgettable surprises. The cone is prepared on the spot, it arrives warm and fragrant in your hands — a detail that makes all the difference. We chose the Fantasia di Capri flavor: difficult to describe in words, but it was the best gelato tasted during our entire stay in Italy. There is a line during peak hours — an unmistakable sign that locals and tourists know it well. But the line moves quickly and it is absolutely worth the wait. In fact, it is part of the experience. If you are in Capri and looking for something authentic and memorable away from the starred restaurants, stop by Buonocuore. You will not regret it.

Inside they are a bakery and deli, outside an ice cream shop with a long line at every moment of the day. The pastry shop is truly excellent.. and the deli allows for a "normal" meal among the restaurants with crazy prices in Capri.
