Terrazza Tiberio

It was our first meal outside of our hotel and it was one we really enjoyed. Before dining, we had a pre dinner drink in the bar area and then went up to the lovely terrace where the dinner was served. Ahead of having the meal we had ordered, we were served with 4 amuse bouche each which were very tasty and gave us a strong hint of what the meal that followed would be like. For the first course, my wife went with the Nerano style linguine dish with caviar being one of the ingredients while I went with a bit of a strange dish called Calamarotto that had both squid and prawns in a way I have not experienced before. Both dishes were delicious! For the mains, it was the sea bass fillet for my wife - a particular favourite of hers - this one being served with senise and green chilli peppers and beans. She loved it. For me, it was the beef fillet served with Neapolitan friarielle in a delicious ‘Rossini’ sauce which I loved too! We were full so did not have a dessert but finished off the extremely good aglianico wine which we had had with the meal. To finish, I must mention the two lads who served us. Both were very friendly and professional. So, it was a great meal outside and would recommend the restaurant to everyone.

A Wonderful Revelation: Absolute Excellence at the Hotel Tiberio Restaurant I have been visiting the island of Capri for thirty years now, and yet last night's dinner at the Hotel Tiberio restaurant was a "first time" for us. It was an extraordinary and unexpected surprise, capable of giving us one of the best gastronomic experiences ever tried on the island. The environment is intimate, refined and pleasantly hushed, an ideal setting for an evening with friends, accompanied by table service that proved to be always attentive, courteous and highly professional. The attention to detail is evident from the very first moments: we were welcomed with excellent appetizers, homemade bread and delicious mini breadsticks with crusco pepper. A first gesture of rare elegance and courtesy came directly from the chef who, to brighten the wait for the rice to cook, treated us to a truly exquisite, crispy and dry fried scampi and prawn. The chosen dishes confirmed the very high level of the cuisine: an impeccable scampi risotto, the traditional and very tasty Capri ravioli and a delicate baked turbot cooked to perfection. We ended the dinner on a high note with some excellent quality fresh fruit (shared by two) and a puff pastry with cream and strawberries that was nothing short of superlative. At the end of the meal, the chef's mastery and hospitality were once again on display through a very welcome gift: a selection of artisanal chocolates and pastries of exquisite craftsmanship and quality. To accompany the meal, we chose a Greco di Tufo "Vigna Cicogna" from the Benito Ferrara winery. An exceptional wine, although I must point out that the markup on the bottle (offered at 90 euros) turned out to be a bit expensive: almost double the price compared to other renowned restaurants on the island where we have been recently, including the Quisisana. Aside from this detail about the wine, the excellent quality of the raw materials and the constant attention paid to the customer make this restaurant an unmissable stop that I highly recommend. After thirty years in Capri, we have found a new point of reference that we will definitely return to.

A fantastic atmosphere with very friendly waiters. Lovely food and drink and a completely unique view.

Brilliant from start to finish. Nice few drinks to start the night, staff were above and beyond, seating area outside was a treat and the food for the tasting menu was tasty, delicious and any other superlative you can think of.
